This article examines the use of the 'crash room' in a rural hospital through a retrospective review of 100 cases. The study aimed to understand the demographics, pathologies, and outcomes of patients with high triage levels in a rural emergency setting. Findings revealed that circulatory, respiratory diseases, and chest pain were prevalent, accounting for 44.6% of diagnoses, while trauma and mental disorders were also significant. Notably, 17% of cases required transfer to secondary care, highlighting the challenges faced by rural hospitals in managing complex cases with limited resources.
