This study evaluates the use of thrombolytic therapy for acute myocardial infarction in rural Alberta hospitals. The findings indicate that while the treatment was generally effective, there were delays in administration. The study suggests that rural hospitals can achieve outcomes comparable to urban centers with appropriate use of thrombolysis.
